How do I book a space at the community centre?

Booking is simple—just reach out to bookings@riverportcc.com to check availability and discuss your needs. We’ll walk you through the process and help ensure the space is perfect for your event.

What types of events can I host?

Our historic Community Centre is ideal for meetings, workshops, celebrations, and community gatherings of all sizes. We welcome family functions, charity events, and more.

Is a deposit required, and what is your cancellation policy?

A refundable deposit is required to secure your booking. If you need to cancel, please notify us as soon as possible. Policies vary depending on the event, so we’ll clarify details at the time of booking.

We aim to be flexible and understanding if your plans change.

What amenities are included with a rental?

We have tables, chairs, kitchen access, and basic AV equipment, ensuring you have what you need for a successful event. Additional amenities may be available upon request.

Let us know any special requirements when you book.

How far in advance should I reserve?

We recommend booking at least several weeks in advance, especially during busy seasons. Early reservations help guarantee your preferred date and space.

Last-minute bookings may be possible—contact us to check availability.

Rental Pricing

Welcoming spaces for gatherings, meetings, and celebrations—tailored to fit your needs.

Spaces & Rates

  • Main Hall (with use of kitchen): $20 per hour
  • Main Hall (with use of kitchen), for weddings*: $200 per booking
  • Main Hall (with use of kitchen), for community recreation: $20 per day
  • Main Hall (with use of kitchen), for free-to-public community engagement events: No charge
  • Small Conference Room (upstairs; 12–14 people): $20 per day

No HST is charged on rentals.

Payment Information

Payment Schedule

  • At least 50% of the rental fee is due upon booking
  • Remainder is due 1 week prior to the scheduled booking

Cancellation & Refund Policy

  • More than 7 days before booking: 100% refund
  • 7 days to 48 hours before booking: 75% refund
  • Within 48 hours: No refund

Occupant Load – Main Hall

  • Non-fixed tables & chairs: 131 people
  • Non-fixed chairs: 167 people
  • Liquor-licensed functions: 104 people

Additional Notes

  • Damage Deposit: $50
  • A rental agreement must be in place for liquor-licensed functions (proof of insurance required; if bar is used, user must provide proof of liquor license and a designated responsible person).
  • Wedding Rentals: Access to hall from 7:00 pm onwards for setup the night before, hall use for the day/night of the wedding, and until 11:00 am the next day for cleanup and returning space to normal.
